Poem 1

They told me
“The numen is real”;
Someone most high,
bigger than all.

A numinous,
unknown to me;
my heart urged
and my mind dreaded.

Innocence awed
as the King displayed
His majesty
and unstoppable love.

“Never turn back,
for you are mine”
He quoth.

Words that never obliterated,
marked by the One
who never became silent.

Poem 2

Odd life,
Time changed.
Lost chances,
Perfect to forget.

Closing ears and eyes,
running from Him;
fearing the light,
crawling in the dark.

Ignoring His voice,
tried to vanish his mark
with outstanding noise.

Exchanging his voice
with senseless verses;
trading his glory
for brief pleasure.

Emptiness filled my heart,
called the dark a friend;
in ignorance,
looking for the end.
,

Poem 3

My friend,
the dark,
where I hid
and dreamed death.

Inspiration broke through,
filled with vice verses
made of tears and blood,
looking for peace.

In a quest for peace,
lust arrived; my soul imprisoned.
Seconds of pleasure,
never enough.

Seconds of joy,
became hours of sorrow.
Weeping every night,
my bones fractured.

Dazed heart,
numb in sorrow,
as it died alone.

Everything seemed void,
Infinite emptiness.
Just looking for happiness
where I knew I'd never find.

Poem 4

“Ive fall in love
of the dark,
this is my place.
My refuge.”

I said.

Scared to death,
Asked for help
Screaming on the inside
wanting someone,
to be by my side.

In the end,
I was alone again
All I felt was pain

My refuge
became my jail
As time passed,
I desired death

Poem 5

In the darkest night
when everything rotted
Someone answered
A whisper

The Numen I used to call out
appeared as a loving father
All I expected was wrath and punishment
but love overcome all

He said in a loving peaceful breeze;

My heart broke, and he kept the shreds
He was there,
I remembered his promise to me;
“Never turn back,

for you are mine”

Poem 6

I never felt loved
I never loved
But he showed
Jesus, my redeemer

No turning back,
I said.
He clean my clothes
Wash my wounds
Filled every hole

Jesus my redeemer.
No more a numen,
but a loving father,
Caring brother
and faithful friend

A new beginning,
With him by my side
Everything had a purpose.

Love Is here

Come to the waters
You who thirst and you'll thirst no more
Come to the Father
You who work and you'll work no more

And all you who labor in vain
And to the broken and shamed

Come to the treasure
You who search and you'll search no more
Come to the lover
You who want and you'll want no more, no

And to the bruised and fallen
Captives bound and brokenhearted
He is the Lord
By His stripes He's paid our ransom
From His wounds we drink salvation
He is the Lord, He is the Lord

He cleans your darkness
and makes you complete
As he reaches your heart
Everything is Love
Making all,
Changing all
and saving your soul
As he saved mine

Because when he appears
Love is here
Love is now
Love is pouring from His hands, from His brow
Love is near it satisfies
Streams of mercy flowing from His side
Streams of mercy flowing from His side
'Cause Love is here
Love is here
