Poem 3

My friend,
the dark,
where I hid
and dreamed death.

Inspiration broke through,
filled with vice verses
made of tears and blood,
looking for peace.

In a quest for peace,
lust arrived; my soul imprisoned.
Seconds of pleasure,
never enough.

Seconds of joy,
became hours of sorrow.
Weeping every night,
my bones fractured.

Dazed heart,
numb in sorrow,
as it died alone.

Everything seemed void,
Infinite emptiness.
Just looking for happiness
where I knew I'd never find.
